Ken Allen was piloting a single engine plane when he passed out. Miraculously, his passenger, with no flying experience, was able to land the plane. Once landed, EMS rushed Allen to St. Mary’s Medical Center where it was determined he was suffering from a cardiac event: a type A dissection.
